Have you ever noticed that certain containers have a diamond-shaped label with 4 colors? As this label is one of the easiest and fastest ways to identify that the product or material being transported has a certain danger and these are divided into 4 main categories: HEALTH, FLAMMABILITY, REACTIVITY AND SPECIFIC RISKS.
Each category has a ranking ranging from 1 to 4, where the level of risk is reported.
Located to the left of the diagram, the information related to HEALTH identified with the color blue is presented, this part is related to the ability of a material to cause injury to a person, by contact or absorption in the body.
Always at the top center of the diagram, the information related to FLAMMABILITY is presented. The color red is used and is related to the degree of susceptibility of a material to catch on fire.
On the right of the diagram, the information related to the REACTIVITY represented with the yellow color is represented, it is related to the ability of materials to release energy.
Always in the lower center of the diagram, the information related to the SPECIFIC RISKS is represented. It indicates additional information. (OXIDIZING, ACID, ALKALINE, CORROSIVE, DO NOT USE WATER, RADIOACTIVE). WHITE color is used for the background of the diagram.
