Differences between logistics and supply chain

On the one hand, logistics ensures that your product arrives from the factory at the end point in optimal conditions in a certain period of time. Factors such as transport, warehousing, picking or fleet control would enter the logistics.

The supply chain, on the other hand, oversees all work from a more global point of view; manufacturing, raw materials, warehousing, logistics, suppliers…

Therefore, logistics would be part of the supply chain and that is where the difference lies. The supply chain would cover much more than logistics and the difference is the level that encompasses each of them.
